Subaru BRZ Black Edition by Prova from the Tokyo Auto Salon [Video]

Prova, one of the more notable Subaru tuners in the Land of the Rising Sun, teamed up with the Japanese automaker to display a bespoke edition of the new BRZ sports coupe at this past weekend's 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon.

The BRZ Black Edition is supposed to be a more mature tuning take on the rear-wheel drive model that goes on sale worldwide this spring.

Subaru to Debut New Impreza G4 STI Concept Plus BRZ Black Edition and STI Studies at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon

Subaru has outlined its presence at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 with NAPAC (Japan Car Parts and Aftermarket Promotion Association) that takes place at the Makuhari Messe from January 13 to 15, 2012.

Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept Hints at Standalone Hybrid Wagon

The Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept made its debut today in the flesh at the 42nd edition of the Tokyo Motor Show.

The sleek looking station wagon with the taut surface forms is a proposal for a standalone C-segment hybrid model that measures 4,580mm (180.3-in.) long, 1,840mm (72.4-in.) wide and 1,430mm (56.3-in.) tall. Its exterior dimensions place it between the current Impreza (4,415mm long) and the Legacy (4,775mm).

The concept's design language both inside and out is believed to preview the forms and styles of the next generation of Subaru's models, though don't expect to see the scissor-style front doors on a production model any time soon.

Subaru BRZ Concept STI: Live Photos from LA Auto Show and New Promo Video [Updated]

The highly anticipated Subaru BRZ Concept STI made its debut today at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show in order to prepare us for the production model that is scheduled to appear at the Tokyo Motor Show in Japan on November 30 before it goes on sale worldwide next spring.

The BRZ is the outcome of the team-up between Toyota and Subaru, and it's a sister model to the Toyota FT-86 and the Scion FR-S rear-wheel drive coupes, and as such, all three models share the same platform and mechanical hardware including the Subaru-sourced 2.0-liter flat-four engine upgraded with Toyota’s D-4S direct injection technology.

Subaru to Debut New Advanced Tourer Hybrid Concept at Tokyo Show

The 2011 edition of the biennial Tokyo Motor Show that opens its doors to the press on November 30 will play host to the world premiere of a new Subaru hybrid concept model named the Advanced Tourer.

The new study appears to be related to Subaru's gullwing-door Hybrid Tourer Concept that was displayed at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show, only this time, the Japanese automaker opted for a more practical five-door station wagon.

The Advanced Tourer's exterior dimensions at 4,580mm (180.3-in.) long, 1,840mm (72.4-in.) wide and 1,430mm (56.3-in.) tall, put it between the Impreza (4,415mm long) and the Legacy (4,775mm), meaning that Subaru may be previewing a proposal for a standalone hybrid model.

Subaru BRZ Concept STI: First Official Photo Released Ahead of LA Show Debut [Updated]

It's one of the most highly anticipated models of the year and today, we finally get our first official look at the new Subaru BRZ Concept a couple of weeks before it makes its world premiere at the 2011 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16.

The STI-badged Subaru study is a thinly disguised concept version of the upcoming production BRZ coupe that will be unwrapped alongside its sister model, the Toyota FT-86, at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show in the beginning of December.
